Camellia Gardens and Camellia Collections

New camellia garden in Baton Rouge Louisiana at the Burden Center	There is a new camellia garden in Baton Rouge at the Burden Center. The collection being from the Hank & Vi Stone estate in Baton Rouge. The Burden Center is at 4560 Essen Lane (one of the first exits after Airline Hwy traveling on I-12 from the east) a few hundred yards south of I-12. Stones were in part well know for their Higo camellia collection (Interesting link on Higo Camellias in Italy)
City Park in New Orleans	The Botanical Garden at City Park has a relatively new garden.
Bellingrath Gardens in Theodore Alabama near Mobile	Nice old garden, visit in mid March for azalea display.
Beauvoir (Jefferson Davis's last home-Hwy 90 Biloxi)	Grounds have a group of nice camellias contributed by a local garden club.
Descanso Gardens California	Very large camellia collection in California
Longue Vue Home & Gardens New Orleans	Longue Vue, #7 Bamboo Road, New Orleans, LA 70124 Open to the public daily. Monday-Saturday 10:00 AM-4:30 PM, Sunday 1:00 PM-5:00 PM. New Orleans Camellia Club meets and holds annual workshop here.
Atlanta Botanical Garden	Said to have cold hardy cold hardy camellia varieties.
